Scott O'Connell
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Scott moved to Charlotte in 1994 and has called Charlotte home ever since. Scott, his wife Caroline, and their children, Griffin and Addie, currently live in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte. When he’s not in the office, you can find Scott volunteering time in his community. Scott has served on the school boards at his children's schools, coached youth baseball and been part of his church’s life group.
Scott majored in Sociology and minored in Finance, earning his degree from UNC Charlotte in 1997. After a successful career as a PGA Teaching Professional, Scott was recruited by Met Life in 2015 and subsequently earned his series 66 securities license. Over time, Scott began to realize that the limited investment choices available to his clients was not in their best interest. It was then that he met the team at Tactical Investment Advisors and accepted a position in the fall of 2017.
Whether it’s helping a family start their savings strategy, or providing individual advice on their retirement plan, Scott is focused on building plans aligned with the client’s objectives. Knowing that every situation is different means that the solution to each client’s goals are different and unique.

The mission at Tactical Investment Advisors is to listen to the client’s retirement objectives, obtain and analyze personal financial statements, and determine which asset managers and financial or insurance products will best meet the objective.
