In September of 2001 Jason began his financial services career at New York Life while attending Western Michigan University.  Since then, his industry experiences include managing all aspects of a hedge fund (T.I.A. Fusion Fund, LP), financial planning, and mentoring other financial advisors.

Originally from the northern lower peninsula of Michigan, Jason moved to Charlotte in August of 2003. He now spends summers ‘up north’ and winters in North Carolina.  Jason spends his free time with his wife Jessica and their three children-Sofia, Olivia, and Patrick.

Occasionally, you will find Jason playing ice hockey or golf in local adult leagues.

Who Is Scott O’Connell

Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Scott and his parents moved to Charlotte in 1994 and has called Charlotte home ever since.  Scott, his wife Caroline and their children, Griffin and Addie currently live in the Ballantyne area of south Charlotte. Scott is very involved in his community through the following activities:

  • Coaching his sons baseball team
  • Leading the beautification committee for the school PTA
  • Leading bible studies and men’s’ groups
  • Developing a financial and retirement plans for investors

Scott majored in Sociology and minored in Finance, earning his degree from UNC Charlotte 1997. After a successful career as a PGA Teaching professional, Scott was recruited by Met Life in 2015 and subsequently earned his series 7 and 66 securities licenses. Since 2001 Cal worked with several large institutions including Bankers Life & Casualty Company and LPL Financial in addition to running his own independent agency Braeside Benefits for 5 years.
